I have very vivid dreams . Almost full story plots.

I also have , and have had since a child, a recurring dream where i am trying to phone someone urgenty and every phone is broken. ( yea , i know, im odd ) :D

Recurring dreams are often quite significant trying to coax the mind into remembering the dream as many are forgotten with-in seconds of waking up, its the mind telling you the dream is important, the fone im guessing is a disconnection perhaps a fone call you never made and perhaps should, if this rings true.. my number is 0755698…hehe just kidding

(Panda tell me more about the sleep paralysis thing im intrigued)

..Tinks running away dreams are often about anexity stress worst class sernario being someone that wants to hurt you, or it could well mean your simply out running someone out foxing there every endeavor to get you and winning the race :)

cool joke thin ill be stealing that one and telling it down the pub and passing it off as my own lol

Sleep Paralysis: Awake But Still Asleep

A person may wake up and find himself unable to move or speak as if he is frozen. He also may hear footsteps, see a ghost-like creature, or feel someone sitting on his chest. Throughout the history, people considered this phenomenon as work done by evil spirits. However, the modern science can explain the terrifying event as a Sleep Paralysis.
A Sleep Paralysis is possibly a hereditary disorder in which one experiences very frightening seconds or minutes of total body paralysis…

One of my daughters suffers from night terrors …. and apparently her dreams are so vivid that when she does wake – they still seem very real to her! Can take an age to settle her after one – usually they aren’t plesant :( She’s only five and started getting them around 11 months old! Luckily she doesn’t have them so much now but I remember a time not so long ago when she was having them on a nightly basis – nothing like your problem Panda but I’m sure the time after waking is as frightening for both!!! I dont envy you – it would scare the livin shyte out of me!

Thats interesting stuff Panda in the book ive been reading theres a few chapters on Sleep Paralysis Im whats known as a Lucid dreamer i dont have the ability to control all my dreams but i can wake myself up if things get a little too crazy. One time i was having this really bad dream so i woke myself up and there i was back in my room safe and sound, or so i thought, it took me ages to relise i was still dreaming just simply dreaming of being back in my room so i had to wake myself up yet again lol weird huh.

Little tip to finding out if your dreaming or not look at your wrists if your wearing a watch the chances are your dreaming, its easier for me because i never wear a watch period so if i am wearing one something is wrong, if you are an avid watch wearer simply look at the watch it wont work the way it should many scientists historians and even greek mythologists believe there is no sense of real time in your dreams.

You are to all intents and purposes, paralysed while dreaming, it stops the body acting out your dreams. The thrashing about under the influence of nightmares only happens in the movies. This isn’t sleep paralysis as such

People do thrash about when having nightmares / dreams – either that or the televised research done on sleeping patterns is lying.

People have been known to kill their partners whilst asleep and acting out a dream. You can’t do that if you’re paralysed:

lol aye the body is but the mind isnt paralysed the process i meant was more to rationalise the mind when you do that usually the dream stops..
