24 February, 2008 at 2:02 pm #313800And Taylor was also backed by Graeme Souness, his manager at former club Blackburn, who said the big defender used to annoy his teammates for being too nice.
Souness revealed that when he was a young player at Ewood Park, Taylor even got his hair cut by his team-mates to make him look harder – but it didn’t work.
“Tiny is not malicious in any shape or form,” said Souness. “He just doesn’t have that in his nature. He is anything but an aggressive centre-half.
“When he was at Blackburn his team-mates tried to bring the aggression out of him. They cut his hair to make him look tougher but he just didn’t have that nasty streak.
“Martin’s problem was that he had a great physique for a centrehalf but had the technique of a midfielder. We were always trying to get him to be more aggressive.”
Not many saying he did it malicious Even Bruse as come forward to say it wasnt ment
