I wonder is anyone here getting infected emails from a person called Alan Higgins? his email address is [email protected]. I am getting as many as five or six emails a day from him…. I have no idea who it is … obviously I just delete them, but its a bit disconcerting being targeted by whoever it is.
The reason I am asking people here is I have a dedicated email just for JC and I have shared it with very few people so I wondered if others here had a similar problem?

Very true, and the emails carrying them are getting more and more convincing – looking like special offers from supermarkets, enquiries from banks etc.
Check anything that doesn’t make sense. Google some of the text and see if the hoax has been registered or reply telling them you will delete if you don’t hear from them explaining who they are and the nature of the email.
If you let your cursor hover over the tag of the sender you will find the email address doesn’t sit with the sender – so an email purporting to be from a bank will show a personal or gobbledegook email address.

Do NOT reply. Often these emails are speculative, testing for valid emails. If you reply you are confirming that you exist; your email address will then be circulated as a valid email…then your problems really begin.
