I have a list as long as your arm of names ive used over the years.Although ive stuck with “a certain ” for the last year.I really dont see the problem of people changing names unless their abusing people.

Some people make me laugh in the room when they say “i hate name changers” i mean who cares.

I limit my chat room experience to 1 visit a month now and sometimes thats more than enough. :D

It’s been said that when people chat using a different name it soon becomes obvious to others as they give themselves away… By the way words they use and their ‘signature’ if you like becomes apparent. There’s nothing wrong in that providing it’s all above board,in good fun or just for a change with no malicious intent.

However this very information can also be used to copycat. If that chat name was deliberately used in chat by someone else who then attempts to act as though they are that person, cloning I think is the term used. I don’t know why someone would wish to do so but it does happen.

For whatever reason they choose to do this …to gain information, spead rumours etc or demonstrate some ‘bad’ behaviour or something equally as bizarre. I find really puzzling.

We do not know what the motives are for such actions but as someone recently posted on these forums do not take things too seriously. And above all be wary of giving too much information to those you do not know however plausible they may appear. It’s just not worth it.
