Monday mornin my grandad was found dead in his bed, He passed away in his sleep he had a contented look on his face, he outlived all my other grandparents and lived the unhealthiest lifstyle of the lot of them.
He used to smoke 20 plus woodbines a day until the doc told him if u keep goin on like this ken u will be dead this time next year, he quit the tabs there and then. That was 20 years ago.
He was down the pub or the club everyday of the week up until friday. He had one of them electric scooter things u see all the grumpy old men on, we nicknamed it the batmobile.
ive been lookin after the house the past couple of days, He just got a plasma screen the other week so im lookin after it.
the funeral is on monday, we have people comin over frm australia, singapore and the dominican republic as well as ireland.
apparently he has been hording the navy rum for the wake, we found 11 bottles under the stairs, should be one hell of a send off.

My hubbies nan was she died 2 ears ago now and i miss her so so much. She was more of a nan to me than my other 2 ever were and i think thats why i loved her so much. Right till the end she was top of the world even when in pain. RIP xxxxx

This must be a terribly sad time for you and your family Wangle. But I’m sure your Grandad would be proud of the touching obituary you have posted for him here. You obviously loved him very much and I hope his send-off will be everything he would have wished for.
