Lol. Here it goes. Sceptical doesn’t give a rats ar*se about “Linda/Milkman” anyway, he involved it because he knew it would pipe up. I would already be banned for life if there was any evidence backing those two trolls up. Back to the Linda/Milkman thing though. I have asked it not to type to me. It accused me of hacking its mobile phone when I don’t even know it and I have never spoken to it personally. I have got plenty to say on the subject and when I choose to do so, I will. B-)

    Ignore the two muppets GE

    Why not, Lulah?

….He became a symbol, like the big fat guy wiht a beard and a bass voice who sang opera. Like Richard II in a carpark.

    Because atheism ;)

And Richard III* was refused entry to Westminster on the grounds of ‘lack of space’ when he was devoutly religious and a monarch of the actual country.

I’ve not finished with this thread, and today seems appropriate to answer the question of whether faith is blind.

I said that faith couldn’t be put in words, but sometimes you can get close.

Joni Mitchell does it (I known there’s a Joni thread, but it belongs here) with a song whose words are among the most beautiful written about faith. She gives them music and the rich voice of her maturity.

    Love never looks for love.

It doesn’t puff itself up. It’s not envious. It’s not touchy.

Love suffers and endures all things. It never seeks to hurt.

Love has no evil in mind.

It’s a beautiful song Scep with beautiful lyrics, however Love isn’t exclusive to believers and I don’t think that is what she is trying to say either , however I take your point. 😊

    No, mooosey, you’re right,

Love is definitely NOT just for believers.

Without it, none of us could keep going.

Without a great deal of it, you’d have collapsed yeas ago.

But believers look to Love as having created the cosmos

And when Stephen Hawking argued that if he could demonstrate that the laws of the universe were fixed, then there would be no need of any God,

he was talking of some other God.

He wasn’t understanding the God I believe in.

This is rubbish where you are using your own mindset to project onto others- I don’t love anyone yet still ” keep going “. Simply because you rely on others doesn’t mean we all do.. some are self sufficient without having to “love”

He wasn’t talking of any God and nowhere has he said ” If I can demonstrate the laws of the universe are fixed I am talking of some other God”. Where do you get all this stuff from, just made up rubbish but then you were using the bible to argue your points so no great surprise when the starting point of a debate is a book of fiction written by man.

    Gerry,

in a post now deleted you said that you knew you were being a tw*t, but that I diodn’t know I was being one.

I’ve been thinking about that a lot

and  neither you nor any other here are a judge of me

    but you’re right.

I’ve been thinking of people like you and rudeboy and ‘Morgan’ as among those who spat in the face of Jesus and taunted him

whereas I was above all that.

    I was thinking about it

and you’re right, though maybe not in the way you think.

My sense of humour and my picking non you and mister q and others doesn’t put me above you all

    I’m with you

I spat in the face of Christ too

    and mocked him,.

    Call it Good Friday guilt

    or I call it realisation

    but I’m sorry.

I can’t say it won’t happen again, especially if I continue taking with peple ehre

    but you’re right.
