4 October, 2005 at 1:19 pm #149828A very funny bloke mary, he will be missed in the world of comedy, porridge was a classic and still makes me laugh, RIP Ronnie.
4 October, 2005 at 1:26 pm #149829yes very sad but he will be fondly remembered :)
4 October, 2005 at 3:15 pm #149830I echo the views above, he was a genius, ahead of his time by miles…Shame he chose to shun the limelight for so many years, was a pleasure seeing him earlier this year on Comic relief.
Rest In piece Mr Barker you deserve it :D

You just heard that on the news
it was, an is an obvious statement bearing in mind its one of his most famous quotes
unlike you i have the power of free thought
go type about your sh agging exploits
and just bear in mind you can lie to anyone except yourself4 October, 2005 at 11:49 pm #149835just watched the tribute of him on tv, do you think he retired to early? but what i did’nt know, he did sit coms that i have never even heard of.. the magnifcent evans? looked very poor too, maybe thats why i never heard of it
still, like i said before.. his sketchers.. and porridge for me was his best highlights, open all hours too, don’t make comedy the same these days
4 October, 2005 at 11:50 pm #149836well trust it to be certain people to degrade this thread, sian in daggers defence it was an obvious comment, so what if he heard it on the news, lots of news articles are mentioned on here
you couldnt of let it go and carry on the thread?
