One of my biggest pet hates is people saying ‘Everything happens for a reason but we may never know what that reason is’
I work with someone who says that a lot. She hates the fact that I don’t believe a word of it and as such ask her things like ‘So there’s a reason why newborn babies are taken from their mothers? That’ll be a comfort to them, you walking in and saying that it’s sad but if was probably meant to happen’ Don’t know why, but she tends not to share her words of wisdom with me anymore.
That’s mine, any others?

When people say: “I’m in Catch 22”,.. Why not just say, “I’m bollo xed”.. :lol:
” ….. not in any way, shape, or form”. Why not simply say “not at all”???

Another of mine is ‘You can’t take it with you’ Usually refers to money, but you could apply it to anything. Also, if you consider that along with ‘Live every day like it’s your last’ then you’ve got a very confusing statement. After all, I can’t take my memories with me.

I remember back when i was at school, and was told, that in some religion, (not sure which), the family members and friends of the deceased, place money into the coffin, because they believe that the deceased need money, to go to the place that they’re supposed to be going.. :-k
