hmmm sweet peas eh, a lot of people get them mixed up with sweet williams, and then try to bring them back to me,where they are met with a firm NO!, sold as seen baby, another ruse crafty people try is to dig up some crappy plants from the roadside, put them in one of my trays, and say i want my money back, i bet you can guess my reply :D
on a further note, mimulus have been voted the plant of the year
try them they spread for fun.
hmmm monkey flowers eh? – got some, a g/f gave me them because they took over her garden – they are really pretty :D
lol Cosy and Panda – I have gone a bit different this year, and am determined to prove people wrong. Instead of geraniums (they just have GOT to be scarlett), a friend of mine sent me som sweet pea seeds. They are growing!! Whether they continue to do so, and flower, I don’t know yet, but everyone says “no chance” – If they do – I suppose I best be the hostess to prove it!
As everyone had a really cold winter -17 didn’t help a lot of my plants – my Jasmine died and I had it trained up and around our awning, which is outside our kitchen, and it smelt gorgeous. I only mention that, because I have two climbing roses either side of our front door, so, when it is hot like it is now and I open the windows, the perfume comes into the house – dunno what they are called though, but they are a deep red with large petals, and flower all summer :D
Just for Panda’s sake – I have loads more bamboo (and deffo try the vinegar – it works!) For Cosy – the season is the same here as in the UK, so you gonna have to wait till October!
Anyway, I like those paintings Poli put up, but I wouldn’t want them in my house! I think paintings go ‘with’ a house, for example, those would look stupid in an old farmhouse built in 1823, however, they would look great in a modern appartment – some you would love to put up, but they wouldn’t suit it.
Here, I have Monet prints and photos in frames of all sorts – kinda a mishmash, but nothing modern.
