I agree Wordsy, I do know posh people who used to have money, now don’t, but still maintain their manners. I also worked (not for sexual favours!! lol) for one of the richest men in the World, didn’t make him posh though!
I think posh is the old-fashioned landed-gentry, with, or, without their money, they have doctrined manners, and so therefore, posh!

I’m sorry Sceptical, but I stand by my post – it is ‘manners’ – people who aren’t ‘posh’, don’t have manners – so, if you have loads of money and don’t open a door for a lady, you ain’t (typed in purposefully), ‘posh’!
Now, ‘manners’ can mean numerous things, I agree, but if ‘they’ are good, ‘they’ are posh – or should I maybe define posh with re-wording it to ‘refined’ – not sure there is much difference tbh!

hmmmmmmmmmmm last time I went back to the UK – on a certain trip I had to take, I took 4 tube rides, and I was the only ‘white’ person on the carriages I was on! I am not racist in anyway, shape or form, but, I did whyle-away (sp?!) – the time looking at all the other people (for eve! x) wondering where they came from! :D
