This is not exactly about bullying, but referring on how I treat other people’s children. On one occasion a child under my care was extremely misbehaved. I telephone his mother and asked her to come and get him, and told her the reason why. Odd really, she took her son’s point of view over mine! If it had been the other way around, yes, I would have been mortified, but I would have been in a position to deal with my child and been grateful to be able to nip the behaviour in the bud before it could get worse! :?
My son was being bullied – he had his new blazer ripped – I took it into the school as proof – I asked the head to ask the parents of this boy to buy my son a new blazer. Two days later I had a letter from the bully apologising and that he was paying for it out of his pocket money, and that he would never bully another boy again. It really does go to show that going to the school works!
