Im afraid i dont have the 1970s picture of 10,000 people packed on Bournemouth beach that the tabloids always dig out.Or the headlines about while the UK sweltered in 90 degree heat the Bahamas and Madrid were freezing at 89 degrees. But its like the black hole of Calcutta here at the moment.
I cant see how people enjoy this weather, at least in the winter you can wrap up warm. Every part of me is sweating, soon i will have to remove my jacket.
I want an ice cream and flake
I’ve had the extremes here! -17 for 3 days in Jan/Feb and now +39 in the shade – and getting hotter! Not complaining, as I differ from you, I prefer heat than cold!
. . . . . Walked through an ocean of peeps (I am thinking of taking a patent out on that word before anc does) along the riverbank from London Bridge to South Bank, and thence walked over the bridge to Charing Cross and into the West End. Not recommended. Me feets is swelled, I got a bad blister from me sandal rubbing against the skin . . . .
Should have worn socks . . . . . . .
