it should for example recognise all mp3 tracks to play with media player once you have set 1 mp3 file to be associated with media player.

I’m surprised it does not automatically recognise them all once you have sorted 1 track, as it should automatically recognise all that are the same format, have you tried moving more tracks over to see if they play ok?

or again right click on the file you wish to play, go to properties, then click on *change* tab, select the player you want.

When it can’t play the files, does it ask you to choose an application to open it with?
Or try right clicking on the file you wish to play, and click *open with* select the desired media player you with to play it with, worth a try.
Unusual thing you got going on there with it not recognising the files.
