I dont quite get the point? What does it matter if a player’s 20 or 30 If he aint 100 percent fit he aint 100 percent fit.

I think it’s madness that a 17 yr old kid, without a full game for his club got into the squad. England could live to regret the decision if they get an injury to Crouch or Owen, and the only backup is a rookie striker.

The difference is Soulie in the game you mentioned I presume Man U wouldent have had him on in that game if he wasnt 100 percent.
There’s no way he could be 100 percent fit if he plays in this World Cup for England. 50 percent I’d imagine.

Watch out for another Germany-England clash in the last 16. Im tipping Germany to win Group A, and England to finish second in Group B behind Sweden, thus setting up Germany-England.

Brazil were vulnerable in the past in World Cup’s in Europe because most of their players still played in Brazil. The days before mass inter continent transfers. Most of their players play with European teams now, so it wont be a problem for them.
I cant see anyone stopping them retaining it.
