I was intrested to see the German’s had only missed 1 penalty in 18 or something like that since 1982.
Also One of their backroom staff handed Jens Lehmann a piece of paper before the Argentina game telling him the most likely place their penalty takers would aim the ball. Lehmann memorised this and used it during the shoot-out.
In every tourmanent that England play in the future they’ll probably have to win one shoot-out if they wanna ever win a tournament.
Maybe for the next 4 years they should employ a head shrink or something. Im actually being serious, cause if they could take penalty kicks it would a huge bonus for them.How many teams have I got left now? :?
Look, Murray shouldent have said what he said. It was a silly comment from him. He’s only 19 though. We all make mistakes or say things we shouldent sometimes.
I’ve said this before Tig, but the least England should have expected given the draw they had was the Quarters.

I agree. A silly probably joke comment made in the heat of the moment by a young lad.
As I’ve said before I’m sure he dosent care if the middle class pimms and strawberries and cream brigade at Wimbeldon dont cheer him.
Andy Murray’s only 19. A few years down the line with a good coach, and some work on the weaker parts of his game he’ll win Wimbeldon.This is clearly clutching at straws.
England went out because out of 4 penalties they could only score 1. To call the Portugese keeper and the ref a cheat is nonsense.
Time to move on, and realise that over the piece England simply werent good enough.Let’s have some credit for this guy who’s just beaten the number 3 in the world, and a twice Wimbedon finalist in straight sets. The words fantastic and magnificent spring to mind. :D British tennis is in safe hands.
