Dont see why people believe that “Ghost’s” are spirits of the dead.

I believe “ghosts” exist, but I think it’s far more likely that they could be time slips or something along those lines, not spirits of the dead.

Police will always look at family members first. In most cases(though not all) they turn out to be guilty. This one is pretty unique though.
What was the motive? Was there any motive, apart from the Mother getting cold feet about leaving her bf, and spinning a crazy yarn about the disapperance? As I said it’s pretty unique.
