Pixie whilst I feel desperately sorry for dear old hammy, (RIP) can I request that if you intend to sue PB for hammys unfortunate demise, you give him advance warning so he can “get his excuses ready?” Thank you.
 :lol:4 April, 2008 at 4:26 pm #323063I read this is one of my magazines lately.
A little boy goes into the bathroom and sees mums pack of sanitary towels. When he asked her what they were she told him they were mummys “special plasters”. A few weeks later she had people round for drinks. The little boy had hurt his arm and vanished upstairs for a while. When he came down he said his arm felt much better now and proudly displayed his “plaster”. You guessed it. The silence in the room was deafening. Bless em.   :lol:4 April, 2008 at 9:26 am #3225393 April, 2008 at 6:56 pm #322844@minim wrote:
Or, perhaps the child will be seen as a miracle.. like the first test tube baby.
Perhaps not.
But, there are two parents, one of each sex. Is it any different from a family with two parents where one of the parents decides to have a sex change after the children are born? Then, the family may have 2 mothers, or 2 fathers. We live in a world where sex changes are possible. Whether you agree with it or not.
This is just one complication of the progress of medical and surgical science.
That is the whole point though. One of them is a perfectly normal woman, the other is kind of half man half woman isn,t it? (I don,t know wether to call it him or her to be honest). So it doesn,t have parents of either sex, it,s got one who is perfectly normal and another one that,s a bit of both. So is it a woman whose giving birth or a bloke? Like PATS so elequently put, your either Arthur or Martha, you can,t be both. It,s the poor child who is going to suffer and get teased to death. They havn,t given any thought to that atall.

Have you ever met anyone who has had a sex change?
The person carrying the child is a biological woman, who has chosen to want to live as a man. S/he is entitled to have a child if s/he wants to.
The child will have a mother and a father, and it is wanted and will be loved. On another thread there is a discussion about a family whose child went missing and is now the subject of what could very well include child sex abuse.
If I were a child, I know which family I would prefer to be born into.
If I were a child I,d prefer neither thanks. “She” is a biological woman who has decided to have a sex change to become a man. She,s taken male hormones and had a double mastectomy, but kept her reproductive organs. You can,t have it both ways. Your either one or the other. The image of this he /she creature with a beard and a pregnant stomach is nauseating. It isn,t normal. Again it,s the child who will suffer. He or she or whatever it wants to call it,s self is selfish beyond belief. Neither of them have obviously given any thought as to how the poor child will cope with all this when it,s old enough to understand it,s got a freak for a parent. YUK.

now if that doesnt give the child a f.ucked up start to life, i dont know what will
Exactly right pebbles. I mean once the poor kid is born, do you tell it it,s “parent” is a bloke or a gal? It doesn,t matter what bits you have chopped off or stuck on, you are what you were born……..a bloke or a gal. This isn,t normal and I think that “he” or whatever it is, needs mental help. God help the poor little kid.

Of course the animal rights fraternity (in between hugging trees) will throw their collective hands up in horror screaming cruelty etc etc – but the fact is that it is a necessity in order to allow the remaining millions of seals to continue living.I think most people have an issue with the fact the seals are clubbed over the head a few times (and as a result occasionally skinned before they are dead), as opposed to the more humane single bullet through the head.
Mind you, if they used bullets I suppose the environmentalists would complain about sound pollution and discarded bullet casings, eh?
Exactly Martin. It,s not the fact that they are culled, it,s the WAY they are culled. It,s cruel and inhumane. A single bullet would be far better. Those pictures are horrific.
31 March, 2008 at 12:17 pm #322179Yes I read about that pebbles. I can quite beleive it too. The amount of people I see walking down the street, texting away or talking on the damn things without looking where they are going is incredible. It,s a soddin telephone for Christs sake!!! Do people walk around with their landline surgically attatched to their ear? NO. The report is quite right, some people really do fly into a panic if the mobile isn,t charged up or if they,ve run out of credit, or even if they havn,t had a blasted text for 5 minutes. ffs. I,ve recently aquired my daughters old one and I,m blowed if I can remember how to turn it on!! She,s been trying to show me how to send a text message, and I think I,ve got the hang of it……….kind of. I havn,t even got it turned on at the moment. I only plan on having it with me if I,m out and about and I actually need to phone someone for something. Other than that the stupid thing stays turned off. To actually fly into a panic over a telephone is just bloody ridiculous. What is wrong with these people? Get a bloody grip ffs.

29 March, 2008 at 1:45 pm #297993That,s it, it,s going in the bin. Bloody useless pile of junk. It tells you to dial a number to register your pay as you go phone right? There wasn,t an option to register the stupid card!! FFS.  So FINALLY, I got through to a human who did it for me. My language has been absolutly dreadful. And these devices are supposed to make life easier??? Bollocks!!!!!!!!!!
