perhaps, but it’s not that big.And it doesn’t really matter who gets elected as the President since president of Finland doesn’t have as much power as he/she used to have.
The prime minister is in charge of politics and president mainly represents Finland in many different occasion. :? (yes you’re pretty much right)But I don’t like Tarja Halonen! she’s *********************************************

What sort of a choice do you get, Betty? Is it Christian Democrats vs Socialists or is it more the choice between shades of grey, like we get here and in America?
It’s a battle between right and left (usually known as wrong  ) Tarja Halonen represents the Finnish social democratic party but I don’t know what’s Niinistö’s party in English :-k (almost the opposite of social democratics anyway :D )

What time are the results announced on Sunday? I was going to go to the pub but I can hang around for a bit to find out. Can you register for a text results service?
:-k I guess the results are announced somewhere after 9 pm Finnish time
so is it 7 pm in UK :-s But if I’ve understod right they’ll start counting the votes a lot earlier and give some half time results every now and then after starting.
I’m not sure about that registering, but I think this site might give some information…
