… whats the best sketch you have seen?

The hardware store sketch is something that probably everyone knows here in Finland.

It’s all about how slow the service can be in a hardware store. A man comes to the counter and what ever he asks for the merchant has to go to check if they have it… he walks to the shelf very slowly… looks to the box… walks back very slowly… and says something like: “you wanted 23 nails but we have only 19″… the man has to ask the merchant to bring atleast those 19 to him …and he gets what he wants… but very slowly… the merchant brings every nail one at the time… and so on.

Other one I like is made by same people. It’s about a father and his little baby boy (parts played by a grown up men). The father starts to tell a bed time story to his son, but the son is very witty and argues against everything. He knows what’s going on in mom and dad’s relationship, how dad does at work and it all ends up with this child telling his father how mom makes her living by running an illegal gambling business about dads comings and goings. (“…if dad comes from work before the morning paper is brought you get 2 points… after that we ask where dads car is, if it’s found in front of dad office you get nothing, but if it’s in front of the local bub you get 4 points and if it’s found frome the dump you win the whole game!…”)
