Sorry, but this thread is total bullsh1t. I expect Emma to talk crap but the staggering thing is when people start agreeing to her idiotic attempts at trolling. I mean let’s look at what she’s saying. Emma, who is 110% against the UK having anything at all to do with the EU, is now saying that white, british people should be part of a charity project that receives funding from the EU. What’s stopping your beloved BNP from funding training courses Emma? Is it because they spend all their money on court appearances and bail money?
As for Cas’ stories, maybe you left something out, but how exactly were you going to do a postgraduate course with only an A level and a gcse? Also, didn’t you think that by attending an ESOL class you would be taking the place of someone who actually needed to do the course? It’s ridiculous that you should even think about doing an ESOL class. It doesn’t sound like you’re the victim of racism it sounds like you’re the victim of your own muddled-mind. It sounds like you were given sound advice but chose to ignore it. How exactly were you going to do a degree and a pgce in just 2 years? I’ve never heard of anything like that before. You need to do a degree first (or an access course to enable you to do your degree) then do your PGCE then you can get a job in teaching.
As for the permit story, clearly it’s your own fault for not reading the form properly. The guy was just doing his job and he actually did you a favour by not insisting that you bring the right identification. Sometimes people are asked to bring proof of address and proof of identity when filling out paperwork. There’s nothing racist about that, it happens all the time.
As for council incompetence regarding housing, everybody has problems with their local council at times so how is that racial discrimination? I’m sure most people here could tell you a story about incompetence by their local council. Do you seriously think black people and asian people don’t have any problems with town halls?
So, I reiterate, this thread is complete and utter nonsense.
Thats your point and that was ours. We are all entitled to our own opinions and thats how we see it as you see it yours. So to say its nonsense is false!

Becky, my mums 94, she lives alone, in a ground floor one bedroom flat on a very small estate, it’s mainly elderly people live there.
Four years ago, her legs were getting worse with arthritis and I got her moved from the first floor, to a different block, on the ground floor. We went to see it and she was almost in tears, whoever had lived there jeeeeez it was disgusting, filthy. We went back to the offices, said that she would take it, but couldn’t move in before it’d been completely cleaned and redecorated. The gave her an allowance of £276.00 to decorate and 3 weeks in which to do it…….The officer also gave her a letter stating that until she actually moved in, she wouldn’t have to start paying rent, but would continue living in her old flat and paying the rent that she did there.
I cleaned it, decorated it and just under 3 weeks later, she moved in. A month after moving in, she received a letter from the council stating that she owed £156.00 odd, in rent. At 90, as she was then, she was worried sick. I spent time on the phone, and at the offices, explaining the agreement that’d been made. Once again, a very big, very surly black woman, said well if she doesn’t pay, we’ll take her to court. I was pretty exasperated by then, said go ahead, but I have the proof, i have the letter from the officer here, stating that the rent would be non-payable until she moved in. So fine, take her to court, it won’t be her with egg on her face at the end of the day, it’ll be yours…………Not only that, but I would then seek legal advice to claim compensation for the harassement of her…………WE left………….A week later, she received a letter from the council, explaining that a mistake had been made, sorry for any inconvenience, and she owed them nothing.
Sickening! We were given a wekk to pack up our flat and move into our new home like above this was a hell hole we were moving into. Council had cleaned it but council clean and m clean are 2 totally different things. A man had died infront of the fire and lay undiscovered for 5 days so his body leaked fluids and were STILL on my floor boards only not as fresh they did a small amount of disguising it. they gave us a week free in here to decorate and pack up with a small baby and only my hubby to decorate!!

Exactly Becky,,,,,,,,,,it made me so angry, although I did keep my cool……Freind of mine said to me this afternoon, when he said well i’ll do it this time you shoulda let him do it and then said, well i’d still like some kind of explanation from the manager. I didn’t see the point though,,,,,,,it doesn’t get you anywhere.
I used to work for the local council before my son was born, 18 years ago, while I was there they had to start a policy of employing a certain amount of Black and Ethnic Minority. It seems to me though now, that they’re in the majority, every person I seem to see or speak to whenever I need to visit the council offices are either black or asian. On the whole, I don’t have a problem with this, I do however, have a problem with the way they seem to think they can speak to you!
I needed to go to the housing benefit offices around this time last year, because I do get a certain amount of housing benefit, to change my address etc., It was first thing in the morning, so she couldn’t use the excuse that she’d had a bad day with the general public, but the way she spoke to me was unreal!! I said excuse me, but if you continue to speak to me like a dog, then i’ll respond in the same manner, so would you like to take a deep breath and start again, she was nice as pie after that
Something like that happened to me. Years ago i lived in a council flat and at that time soooooooooooo many robberies were happening and i begged the council to move me as i had a new born baby and may i add i lived in that sh1t hole for 2 years with no heating and a baby!!! I knew i would get robbed and begged for another home. They wouldnt move me and low and behold i was robbed! A month later after a month of begging for a move i went to the council, a very mean nasty asian woman dealt with me and she said nothing i can do looked on a computer and asked me to leave. THE very next morning a letter came through with an offer for a new home?!?!?! WTF and my account didnt state that the day before?? I dont think so. Thank god i now own my home and have nothing to do with the council and the toffs (well they think they are better than me) i no longer have to deal with! 8)

Today I went along to the local town hall to renew my parking permit, as the old one runs out today. Until last year i’d never had to get a parking permit, I moved around this time last year and parking outside your home where I live now needs having to have a permit.
When I went along last year, I filled in the form, went to the desk, and I was asked for my Insurance and Log book, neither of which I realised i’d need, so I had to go back a couple of days later. The documentation I produced was the parking permit form, log book, insurance and my blue badge, which exempts me from payment. No problem, the permit was issued.
So,,,,,,,,,,today, I went along with the necessary documentation and waited my turn in the queue. The gentleman behind the counter was black, the gentleman in front of me was black, he handed over his form, log book and insurance and was issued with the permit and off he went……….I walked up, gave him all my documents, and he demanded 2 further means of I.D. I asked why I needed them, I hadn’t previously, he said it says so on the back of the form. I explained well it’s obviously changed then because I hadn’t needed further I.D. last year, he said, in a very surly manner, well you need it now. I asked to see the manager, and my question to him would have been, if I need it, why didn’t the gentleman who he’d served before me, need it. At my request to speak to the manager, his reply was, well i’ll do it for you this time, but in future, you will need further proof of I.D. ,,,,,,,!!!!!!!!
Racism in reverse????Typical stories of what life is today. Gets your back up doesnt it Cas? You know im not racist far from it but all this where its an easy ride and 1 rule for minorities and 1 for us i do think thats what creates racism. You dont set out to be a racist but the goverments treatment of majorities and minorities creates hate and thats my view!

I dont like christmas !!!!!!!! lol . i used to when me girls were home but no one here now to tiptoe around late at night putting the presents under the tree and the milk and carrot out fer rudolph and a mince pie and a glass of sherry out fer santa!!!
My youngest used to be the best one for any event in her life, christmas, holidays or birthdays lol. christmas morning used to come around (just morning i hasten to add) and she would be allowed to open one present and then she had to go to bed. she shook from head to foot with excitement lol opening her presents desperate to see what was inside and she would always be ecstatic over any present lol she woz loverly to give to.
She would then go back to bed knowing full well she couldnt go into the lounge and open any of her presents before mum and dad got up cos they would all dissapear pmsl… but i always kept an ear out for her lol. you could hear her sneaking in to her sisters room whispering her name very loudly in the hope that she would wake up too …. there was a 7 year age gap between them and the older one always was more reserved and calmer than my youngest.
the loud whispering having not woken up her eldest sister she would then ‘accidentally’ bump into something in the hope that disturbed the rest of the sleeping people in the house lol. I eventually would get up around 4.30 am and we would set about puttin the turkey in the oven and peeling vegatables, we always had at least 18 for christmas dinner lol and she felt very important by helping prepare the huge amount of food lol. she would make the stuffing balls and bacon rolls by which time it was usually a more respectable time for people to get up lol.
she would then go in to her dad scream at him to get up cos santa had been ages ago lol by which time my eldest ickle sleepy head staggered out of bed to come and see what all the fuss was about. cups of tea all round and we all piled into the lounge to see what goodies santa had left us all lol.. she would stand mouth open trembling with excitement from head to foot but always insisting that she handed the presents out (to this day i’ll never know how she managed to hold all that excitement in while she did that lol)
as she was such a live wire we give her an important job i.e collecting all the wrapping paper as stuff got lost when it was always picked up lol. so there she would sit with her little pile of presents not knowing which one to open first lol then just tearing the wrapper off like someone demented. she did however always pay attention to the present carefully noting who it wos from and giving everyone a kiss after each present lmao.
my eldest the conservative one who was beyond all this ‘nonsense’ lol would carefully examine the present before carefully taking the wrapping paper off , folding it up and putting it to one side before examining the present lmao……she’s loverly lol as they both are.
presents opened i would make a small breakfast and the rest of the morning would consist of preparing this giant meal for 3 pm when everyone would arrive. the table would be laid out and set by 1pm and no one was allowed to sit at the tables until dinner. the girls would be helping with prawn cocktails and chitter chatterin lol and i usually by 12 had consumed at least one baileys lol. we used to put dirty dancing on lol during the preparation of dinner either that or its a wonderful life .
the hoards would arrive and crackers n party hats and dinner which would usually last around an hour and a half. i usually cleared up as i went along lol…..then those that wanted to afternoon kip and those that didnt party games lol……so christmas lol hey ho xxx
Like me and TAD she is 6 years older than me and i would try wake her up with every ounce of energy i had but no budging her HAHAHA
I remember we were always allowed 1 present at xmas and 1 year we got sind digital watches with a light on it and OMG it was ace. Well that was our xmas eve present and i spent most of xmas morning (early hours) turning the light on hoping time would go faster
