Huntley hadn’t been in the press for a while, no one was taking much notice of him. So there he goes, getting himself headlined again, knowing exactly how to do it too. He doesn’t want to kill himself, (mores the pity) just craves the attention.
We can only hope that one day, there’s going to be a prison officer who don’t give a rats a rse…[Read more]

Just before, in fact 3 weeks before her 91st b’day, my mum fell over on a raised paving stone, and broke her left leg, it was below the hip, she had surgery and a metal plate was inserted joining the two pieces of bones together. Within two weeks, she was walking up and down the ward with the aid of a frame. Up until then, she’d walked with a…[Read more]

What I actually didn’t know until a programme on tv this year is that there are laws in place for the protection of children, as there should be, and laws in place for the protection of animals.
There are no such laws in place, for the protection of the elderly!!!

My mum, along with my son, were and are the most precious things in my life. I lost my mum in may of this…[Read more]

Well two points, firstly is ANYONE a “homophobe”? The word phobe, and phobic reactions are the “irrational fear” of something, so homophobia, which is an academic construct means the irrational fear of homosexuals
Do you know or have you ever met anyone who is “scared” of them? Many people find…

I agree with what you say Tony. Yes there should be allowances for them to buy fresh fruit, veg, pay for adequate heating, etc etc., but those things are in place already, just not everybody is getting them. That was why I said that the government would be better employed in putting more pple in place to advise a lot of the elderly of what…[Read more]

While I appreciate the sentiment behind your petition, do you know exactly what kind of income pensioners can! get.
My mum died in May, she was 94, i’m now a pensioner myself, as many of the JC’ers know  ,,,, my basic pension that I get, with pension credits etc, is £119.00 a week, as a single person. I still work so i’m taxed…[Read more]
