I think most people have an issue with the fact the seals are clubbed over the head a few times (and as a result occasionally skinned before they are dead), as opposed to the more humane single bullet through the head.
Mind you, if they used bullets I suppose the environmentalists would complain about sound pollution and discarded bullet casings, eh?
