I was on Incapacity for about 18 months because of a back problem a few years back.
i have allways done heavy manual work so when i injured my back i signed on. i told them i cant do my old job anymore but i still want to work so i asked for some sort of retraining. firstly they told me i had to be unemployed for 12 months i think it was before i could go on a training course. They then sent me to a disabilty adviser and after about 8 months all they could offer me is a minicab course, not even a black cab.

The whole system is a joke, they want people back to work but they do nothing to help.
I think it was that programme on monday that said to get everyone off incapacity in wales they would have to create about 30,000 new jobs.
