I’m tired of hearsay. Post a credible link to back up any figures/statistics else don’t bother posting them.

Political commentators…how can i produce a link.
27 August, 2006 at 1:16 am #237979Geoff (you seem like a sensible chap), why would you need to use the word “actually”?
For me, its a word which describes someones superior when saying something, although i have come accross a sentence that needs it, but the 1974 vintage evades me of it right now :D

Probably because your question is utterly stupid. There is a vast difference between having an ID card/being finger printed on a database and the idiocy you are suggesting.
Sweetheart, the principal is the same, its just on a smaller scale. If the government said its “advisable” we protect the public through close circuit cameras, would you let them film you daily?
ermmmm …. Excuse me but, how do you think using “government computers” work if not because of some sort of database?
You can’t have it both ways Emma!
You need HUMAN intelect to work the computers…
In Emma’s world, there is nothing like spontanuous crime obviously. All criminals go about with purpose in mind, and gloves in pocket!
Of course that happens, but if there was CLOSE scrutiny on finger printing, then the criminal becomes more aware…
People who rob banks are far more prepared than they were 50 years ago.

We live in a capialist country. The government is judged on its handling of the economy. The economy has NEVER before shown such a sustained period of growth and stability! We also have the most stable currency in the world.
When new labour broke out of the asylum in 1997, briton was £50,000,000 Billion good.
Some political commentators have guesstimated were upto £900,000,000 Billion down.
Atleast we still own 50% of Washington DC…
27 August, 2006 at 12:31 am #238219I would expect you’d have to pay three dirty euro’s for a bag of chips in England, i certainly wouldn’t accept less.
I would guess its strongly challenging the US dollar, as the UNofficial second currency, and will over take it someday, what with the europeans coming here and our lot venturing holidays, bringing some back (even ive got about 10 euros), and the paddy’s spending 5 euros at cheltenham on a pint of cold guiness…
