Try some lateral thinking; the common toad BUFONIDFAE is often known as Buffo for the purpose of myth and storytelling. Perhaps your fudd-friendly horny-backed friend was called Buffo or a derivative of: possibly Boffo. Or am i the only one who recalls ‘a damn good boffing’ for intimating sexual congress.
