Who needs Dreamsprite to promote unrest when we can summon up plenty of it ourselves?
Just for the record, I like and admire Pete for his honesty. He’s a gentleman, and there aren’t too many of them on JC.

With all due respect Esme… I think we have all got the message about how ill you either are or have been. Ive read all about it on every site where I have seen you post. Although it is not nice what you are going through and been through do you really need to keep reminding us on almost a daily basis.
Actually, it was a gag, Fastcars. Being that my illness is of no-one’s business but my family and close friends, it’s certainly NOT something I mention on a daily business, and even if I did, it IS part of my daily concern and trots along beside me – fairly indiscreetly – wheresoever I go. I require to play no sympathy card, as the other cards I have been dealt are so incredibly fantastic that I am fortunate in being able to consider myself as being luckier than most.
I dare say I mention the fact that I have been shafted in the health stakes, a lot less than you mention that you live in Holland . Amsterdam, anyone? Again?@fastcars wrote:

Incidentally, turning off the computer wasn’t what you advised me to do at the time.They dont take any notice cos deep down they actually love all the slagging and name calling. Its managed to keep them rooted to their computer chairs all weekend with real life taking a back seat to this false world. If you really cant hack it then get out… its not difficult. Or is the pull just to strong to be able to let go?
Why would I want to exit stage left pursued by bear, at this juncture? I’m having too much fun, and was referring to painfully losing my message board virginity at JC way back in the day. Oh – I DO wish folks wouldn’t use that ghastly Australian import ‘hack it.’ I blame Home And Away!

It was my first experience of message boards, Fastcars, and I was shocked at some of the venom coming my way. I was only recently out of hospital when I started here as a means of killing time. It nearly killed me. You can be as cynical as you like (I recall that you pmd me at the time, over the behaviour of the person who was at the root of the trouble) but my health is fragile enough to be sent over the edge by my getting as upset as I was then.
Having earned a living from ‘only words’ I know how they can be manipulated for good or ill. I’m not ashamed of being a deeply sentient being, as capable of plying and feeling passion as I am of wielding sarcasm and cruelty, but I never throw a word away casually, and I hope I do no hurt – or at least – not without intent!@catz wrote:

Thing is we all rip each other and sometimes it goes on for a while and it isnt nice, I dont like it, but heyho thats this site for you and the leading example comes from the admin themselves so what are we to expect?
But this particular user is in much need of help, and its gone way too far. Ive found myself sitting here absolutely shaking with anger over the past few days and have got pretty upset. There is just no rhyme or reason for it.
I understand completely how this affects you, Sharon. When I joined here two years ago, certain people took a dislike to me and made posting hell. It was so bad, that I wasn’t eating or sleeping, was dehydrated and feverish to the extent that I ended up in hospital fighting for my life yet again.
Why didn’t I ‘walk’ away? Well, truth to tell, when I got home from hospital, I found an email from someone who had left JC to set up another site. It was bliss there for a long time, until the same old crap started kicking in.
I’m now on a few other sites, but I have friends here, so like to hang around. But PB should be ashamed of himself, the cavalier attitude with which he treats the people who keep this place going, with cretins like Dumbsprout allowed to ruin it for all of us.
