I would like to thank all of you who took the time and trouble to wish me well – truly heartfelt appreciation. In particular – Langy you’re a star for communicating with my hubby and collating all the information, emails and messages. By way of an update – I’m knackered – but hopefully progressing to slightly less knackered, and when my brain stops rattling around like a jumping-bean, I may even be able to join in a forum debate with a measure of rationality.
Until then, once again – thank you!!

And as for taking you aback etc etc…. I wouldnt take you in any position…. not even if you were naked and kneeling doggy style.

Always relied on to reduce matters to the lowest common denominator (an unavoidable proclivity when one is only knee-high to a shetland pony) this is unnecessarily crude even by your own questionable standards. Out of your tree and out of my league, your vulgarity must make you very proud if a little deranged in imagining that a person of my calibre would be proffering herself up for your refusal. Ugh!

Hmm, I have not- deliberately have not – seen the film SYLVIA as my preconceptions deem it wrong on many counts. Firstly, since forced to write a thesis (many moons ago) on the impact of mental illness on the poetry of Sylvia Plath and Robert Lowell, and discovering that I went against the flow of female empathy for Plath whose tendency to self-pity and paranoia inflamed me, I would now rather spend time in a bell jar. Secondly and thirdly and a thousand times over – Daniel Craig as Ted Hughes – no- not ever – no! Paltrow as Plath, scarcely more palatable.
Call me prejudiced, call me unyielding, but I like what I like and I’m a Ted not a Sylvia girl.
    Well..ya did ask!
Now beat me gizzards with an egg whisk!

lol.. not at all! Admirable candour on your part! Although I am tempted to thump your jugs as it were regarding Mr Craig – tis well known in these parts that I’m a huge fan :) . Anyway, I thought the film an okay affair, watchable if a tad dreary.
With regard to enforced thesis torture, I myself went through a similar scenario to your fine self. Tennyson was my bane :? .. more mouthpiece than poet in my opinion (“Blow bugle blow..” etc ..), I had to scribble away and find something half decent to say about him (Shallot’s eponymous Lady and the Lotus Eaters aside not too much may I add ).

    Oh well..

    :P

Only a very cruel sort would now inflict you with a dose of the ‘Alfred’s’ and I AM that sort.

Come not, when I am dead

Come not, when I am dead,
To drop thy foolish tears upon my grave,
To trample round my fallen head,
And vex the unhappy dust thou wouldst not save.
    There let the wind sweep and the plover cry;
    But thou, go by.

Child, if it were thine error or thy crime
I care no longer, being all unblest:
Wed whom thou wilt, but I am sick of Time,
    And I desire to rest.
Pass on, weak heart, and leave me where I lie:
    Go by, go by.

Has anyone e-mailed the Sunday Herald to see what they think of all this… 8)

You mean you haven’t loostened off your stiff little fingers over a malicious e-mail already, my little poison pixie?
I’m taken aback – afront – and asideways!

Indebted to you once again, fek. Your thorough and obsessive research has ensured that I can rest easy from prosecution by The Sunday Herald for swiping the article on Bridgend. Not only that, but I can now copy and paste everything from the crossword to the obituaries with uninhibited glee.
My literary style (and plaudits) being so glaringly lacking – notice how I can barely string a credible sentence together on my own – I waited a lifetime to suck the lifeblood and several paragraphs from Torcuil Crichton of The Sunday Herald, certain that my cunning plan would win me both the Nobel prize for literature AND the undying fervent admiration of the half dozen JCers clamouring to read Current Affairs & Serious Posts of a Sunday lunchtime.
At the very least, I deserve a damned good lynching from a high and sturdy oak. Although, in truth, I rather fancy myself nailed to a cross, with a crown of thorns perched at a jaunty yet alluring angle.
Have I ‘not let it go’ enough for you, ickle fekker? Or shall I continue? Because, as long as you continue to question my integrity I’ll be right here in your little po-face, making you look smaller and more stupid and more anally retentive, with every unpoached, unfilched, uncopied, unpasted word.
I hope I make myself clear. Now if you genuinely want to move on, then get out of my way, there’s an article on sheep-mange I want to pinch from The Farming Gazette.

Rag and Bone man – bloody hell that takes me back: memories of mum giving me a pile of old clothes to take out to the cart. Me being sorry for the horse and well chuffed with my new balloon, shaped like a snail with a smiley face and antennae (the balloon – not me!) God, I was easily pleased. :?

I’m also thinking of taking out a double-spread advert in The Daily Moron, Shazza, in addition to trawling the highways and byways with a megaphone.
That’s if I have any time left over from writing out a thousand times (with a quill and ink) “I must not swipe newspaper articles coz Li’l Fek ends up on extra lithium.”

Thanks for your robust defence, Ruby. You’re my darling girl.
Li’l fek. I edited. I EDITED. And I EDITED for two reasons. One: Though it was an excellent article, it veered into a long-wind with the cogent references being scattered unevenly throughout. I sliced and tidied..rather effectively if I say so meself. Two: The Herald doesn’t permit posting and copying and I was buggered if I was going to let this get in the way of sharing what was in essence a relevant contribution to the debate.
You’re an obsessive wee oddity, Fek, your own contributions broach neither wit nor whimsy. Now do us all a favour and go take a big fat flying f.uck to your wee self!

No need to justify yourself or to be abusive.
Any kind of writer would be fed up with others not giving them credit. I guess you can’t see that, so let’s move on.

“Glad you’ve got the ego for it Beeker as good stand up is an art form that requires communicatory skills in addition to a funny script. In a previous life I wrote comedy for various shows on the Beeb and was considered amongst the top ten percent amongst my peers. I loved writing gags and sketches..and could sometimes barely write them down as I was rolling about laughing so much. The mark of a good piece of comedy was that it still made me laugh on the fifth or sixth inspection. Better yet..I got to see it performed and payed a cheque for it. The downside was that it was easy to have a lot of work pinched..for every gag I actually got acknowledged/paid for..another was ‘appropriated’ and I eventually couldn’t be @rsed with it anymore..and moved on.”

OOh that was a nice wee reminder of my early days here at JC. Thanks, l’il fekker. Let me reiterate for bears of little brain. I edited, scythed, copied and pasted an article from a newspaper because great tracts of it posited a valuable contribution to the debate on the Bridgend suicides.
I did NOT laud it as a piece of journalistic effort on MY part. From the statistics quoted, it was self-evident to anyone with an iota of common sense, that it was – as most articles here are – sourced from those privy to the relevant facts and figures. To have pinpointed the author would have been to have headlined my swiping from a newspaper which does not approve. Do you need this spelled out for you in neon lights? How stupid are you?
You evidently have some kind of agenda going here, fek ( to track down an old post of mine dating back to when I joined here in 2006 shows more than a slightly unhealthy obsession) either that or you ARE mentally deficient. Aspergers or autism perhaps? Whatever – get over your quasi-moralistic posturing and get back in your padded cell.
