Only a song? I’d have thought he’d have hired a brass band for the occasion

Must’ve been the same physics teacher as mine :P

I think you’ll find the rules aren’t there to prevent people posting their own phone number. They’re to prevent people posting someone elses number.
If you’re going to administer the law, the least you can do is to understand it.
Well nice to see you,ve crawled out from underneath your cider keg Owen. And it,s for both actually, their own and someone elses. Strangly enough, I do know the rules of the site, wonder why that is eh? Dummy.
For someone that doesn’t use the chatrooms he sure knows the “law”
Any fool knows it applies to both giving out your’s and someone else’s anyway. But cider tends to addle the brain cells I hear. 8)You must be on it intravenously 24/7 then. What else could explain the tastefully twinkling tits. Class.
And Bat..Owen made it clear in his post that he knows you’re a chatguide..so who’s the dummy #-o :?:At least 1 of us is in the Xmas spirit and I dont mean brandy!
Christ alone knows what you’ll be exposing by New Year then!

Whilst Owen is still sleeping off last night’s booze, let me post the wording of the message that appears at the top of EVERY room in EVERY Forum on JustChat when you first enter it…..
“Welcome to the ******* room! Chat with other Just Chat regulars but remember to keep within the site rules and NEVER give out any personal information.”
Now I know that Owen is a self-acknowledged expert in the ”law” but maybe he has a bit of a problem with reading from time to time, especially if he is a bit ‘tired’.
If a chatroom user posts their personal information in a chatroom, they are allowing ANYBODY to obtain it and are thus exposing themselves to risk. True, we can’t prevent them from doing this, if they are stupid enough to do so, as once it is typed it is there for all to read. But we can and do exercise our duty of care by advising them NEVER to do it – hence the notice quoted above.
Finally, if Owen (and others of his ilk) had to deal with only a fraction of the problems that JustChat Staff deal with when a user is grossly abused as a result of giving out personal information in a chatroom, he would be less quick with the smartarse replies.
Maybe you should be less quick off the mark with your own smartarse remarks PB. Libelling late night posters with accusations of inebriation is to measure them by your own yardstick. Nasty

Let us know when you hear from him again.
I still communicate with a dear friend from the Gambia..still struggling to earn a decent living despite a good education courtesy of vso many years ago. Sadly..corruption is rife and The Red Cross frequently inept. It makes me despair.7 December, 2006 at 5:23 pm #252263@forumhostpb wrote:

The BNP support the troops, more than the old gang party, because the BNP wants them safe at home, looking after our borders.
Given that we are an island Emma, and therefore our borders are the surrounding seas, this is a marvellous idea of the BNP’s. I bet that all our troops will support it too.
Yes – get them all back to ”look after our borders” which amounts to sending them all on extended holidays by the seaside. They’d simply love it!
They could swim and paddle in the sea …… er sorry …. I mean look carefully for invaders trying to get ashore. They could stroll casually up and down the promenades chomping toffee apples and sticks of rock …… er sorry ….. I mean carry out armed border patrols to capture and to deter illegal immigrants.
The Royal Navy could also be there offering day trips across the bay or to the Isle of Wight
……. er sorry ……. I mean they could carry out maritime interdiction patrols to keep our shores safe from Spanish Armadas and other foreign invaders.Even the Royal Air force has its own part to play in all the fun and frolics with free helicopter rides for children and aerial displays over the sandy beaches …… er sorry …. I mean flying air combat patrols to protect our airspace against the Luftwaffe and Columbian drug smugglers.
Yes Emma this smashing idea of yours is a real winner !!!!
Thank God the BNP supports the troops….. Rule Brittania !!!
Unfortunately..Emma is doubtless referring to the Scottish and Welsh borders..to keep out the marauding Celts..
