Oh and BTW just for reader’s edification, Richard Barnbrook is shortly to announce himself a candidate for London Mayor.

How do you know this?
Surely there isn’t an issue with him standing for election is there??? After all SOMEBODY has to represent the BNP at the forthcoming Mayoral elections and who better than Richard himself???
Hey, he might even win.
11 December, 2006 at 10:40 am #253173Just so that you can recognise Sandra Doncaster as she attends Romford County Court on the 11th January, here she is in all her glory.
http://www.barking-dagenham.gov.uk/9-democracy/councillors/cnllrs-menu.cfm?id=103
I can’t be arsed to find and post the links, but check out the address on the website for Sandra’s hubby’s coach company with her address as per the Council’s list of candidates for the election.
It is quite interesting that The Clairemont Hotel in Sandown, Isle of Wight doesn’t seem to be mentioned in any of the tourist information sites relating to the island. I wonder why that should be???
Of course Emma isn’t suggesting that the Doncaster’s would dream of running a coach company with coaches that “might be in a bad way” because she knows that this would be against the law and they would never do anything so illegal ……. would they???
BTW – the Council is most helpful in that it even has a page where the public can post complaints against elected Councillors who they feel may have breached the Code of Conduct that all Councillors are supposed to adhere to. see local democracy in action here >>> http://www.standardsboard.co.uk/Complaintsandinvestigations/Whatyoucancomplainabout/
11 December, 2006 at 10:20 am #253022I love this ”alleviating world poverty” stuff. It is a terrific soundbite and guaranteed to make feckless politicians look good to the voters whilst at the same time not requiring them to do anything at all.
But would somebody remind me – wasn’t Bob Geldorf and his group of ageing rock-star cronies supposed to be eliminating world poverty – only last year (again)??? Or maybe I am getting confused with Tony Blairs promise to ”eradicate world poverty at a stroke”. Or perhaps it was ………….. etc etc etc. Or maybe it was ”child poverty” …..???
Oh yes I remember now – we don’t have ”child poverty” here any more because Tony and The Cronies eliminated it years ago in the First Labour Government didn’t they. Oh well maybe it was ”child poverty” or ”world poverty” or something somewhere else.

Oh – sorry Fastcars.
Maybe Sian should go into the JustChat hall of fame (or infamy???) for displaying a novel way of paying the builder’s bill????
10 December, 2006 at 11:11 pm #155833No … Geoff isn’t me and I’m not ”The Hoff” so I hope that this clears things up a bit.
BTW – stevenage(f) – who was really a bloke in disguise (well she looked like one anyway) – has stormed off in something of a huff simply months ago. If you want to chat to her you can catch her in between PC’s in Forum 2. (She will be the one that tells you she is a gorgeous sylph like model).
As I recall she had a total sense of humour failure when everybody took the piss out of her piccy, then she turned nasty and the whole thing ended up in a glorified slagging contest.
Another day in the life of ………………………… etc.

10 December, 2006 at 12:18 pm #248171I can’t help thinking that Ray’s performance with the tears was exactly that …. a performance, designed to attract votes. OK he got through and yes he can perform as well as sing, but crooning Sinatra style simply doesn’t work for him in view of his obvious youth and inexperience. However, he appeals to the ‘teeny’ voters who think he is yummy.
Leona has an amazing singing voice and can hit a note spot on. My prediction is that she will win. It’s a pity that she is so clearly lacking in self-confidence but this is also somehow endearing. But when she really gets into a song and starts to hit those high notes ….. wow !!! Her cover of ”I Will Always Love You” (last week?) was absolutely fantastic. It is a killer of a song and if you can’t hit the notes first time it really shows.
Poor old Ben is really a rock-n-roll Jerry Lee Lewis style singer (or shouter) that is 30 years too late. Great for belting out songs and stomping on the piano, but he is very one-dimensional. I wasn’t surprised that he got voted out last night. Pity though because he sure tried hard enough. BTW does he have head lice – he is always scratching his long and unkempt hair???

Pensions are paid into bank accounts. There’s no real need for Post Offices.
If the Government decided to spend £150 million a year on something that was
losing £2 million a week, you’d be quite happy to beat them with that stick. If the money is spent on a worth while cause, then its money well spent.
Mr Brown recently spent £7.5 Billion of our money on africa, but cant come up with a poxy £150 M.
HOW DO THE OLD FOLK OF THIS COUNTRY BENEFIT FROM THAT £7.5 Billion ?
The Government also spent MILLIONS on new computer systems which either simply don’t work OR have been withdrawn OR have yet to come into service (sometimes years past their originally promised delivery date). The list of financial cock-ups goes on and on.
This bunch of profligate arseholes that call themselves a Government, when in point of fact they’d have difficulty in organising a piss-up in a brewery, should worry about their future. Come the next General Election they might get a nasty surprise.
