Rome would have never been built at all if people didnt make decisions put forward opinions on how best to build it, then gone to the powers that be who could do something with it, can you imagine a designer going to a mill worker with his design for the colosseum and saying what do you reckon mate shall we do it and it happening ? no ! it needed to be passed by the powers that be agreed on by said powers and then given the go ahead and indeed the finances and labour to do it. Holding a public chat in a small bar wouldnt have achieved it which is a similar degree to just how much you are getting “heard” here. It wont change a thing, sorry, dont wanna burst your bubble and i do admire to a degree your passion, i just think if that passion is really that great get out “there” and do something with it.
Here i am. 8)

No Gaz you arent being heard, not in any way that would bring your ideals of a new free world to any fruition, its a debate with a few members on a forum board this will not change the world i can assure you. It’s like going into a nursery school and explaining the magna carta to 5 year olds ok one or two teachers listening may get it the kids wont.. so ok you would have been heard but to what end ?? absolutely none.
The apathy is because people are pissed off quite obviously but being apathetic never changed the world did it, its the game of quitters and moaners. To make changes you need motivation hard work and determination, not voting just plays into the very people you hate so much hands. And Rome wasn’t built in a day, what’s new. :?

Its only a foregone conclusion because everyone doesnt vote Gaz, this last election proved that really we ended up with con / lib coalition, so if everyone that choses not to vote out of some pie in the sky notion its making a stand, it will all just continue as it is now, and as for your right to be heard, thats just it Gaz you arent being heard, the day you make that vote you are being heard by actions, or even going further join a party start your own party even, but putting an opinion across on internet message boards or you tube or the likes isnt being heard no one gives a damn outside of the weird wide web, want to make changes, serious changes, make a stand, stand up and be counted, make that difference.
Oh i am being heard, that’s plain enough by the replies. Whether you chose to listen is another matter. The FACT that there is apathy for voting says what exactly ?22 December, 2010 at 9:45 pm #456886@(f)politics? wrote:
Well those that dont take part cant really have any say, if they want to change things not voting is playing into their hands everytime so that completely makes “those that dont vote” arguement pointless, we have the ability to put a cross in a box and make a difference to who we have in government and which policies we are ruled by, we chose not to do it then we have lost out on a dam good opportunity, and like that nothing will ever change.
RUBBISH ! Vote for a fore-gone conclusion ? No thanks but i will still take advantage of my natural right to be HEARD thank you.

I don’t hold any such information. What i imagine is that over time, people will make a significant stand against this current tyranny. That being so, the people collectively will decide what is good for the country. Unlike the system we have at present where the people are powerless to make change. The very constitution of this country now rests in the hands of foreign diplomats, they in turn are controlled by the hierachy pulling strings behind closed doors in Europe. I was not asked for my confirmation of this shift in power, were you ? Consideration of power now given to the law enforcers in this country will show an example of the dictatorship now eroding ” democracy “

Havent the people done just that though Gaz everytime they vote a new government in its exactly the same we vote a party in that we think is the best on their policies, a bit like you say no one has a crystal ball mistakes have been made and probebly will be again but whatever happens that can and will always happen but the power is in our hands, we could have voted for UKIP (just 1 example) and got out of europe the “people” majority didnt sadly, but it was still the “people” that made that decision.
Is that a majority of those that take part ? . . . Oh yes it is.
