The fascists that run our society are not happy with banning our freedom to smoke, now they wana ban patio heaters outside bars that keep smokers warm, because they believe patio heaters give of too much heat…more like, they lost the battle against some smokers.

There is NO good reason why patio heaters should be banned, for goodness sake, its winter, we need more heat and bars/pubs are closing due to lack of trade.

So, are you now thinking that the fascists that run our society are hell bent on taking our freedom’s away, or do you still believe they tell us how to live for the good of us?

I heard something about bingo halls earlier, their being taxed too much, folk cant smoke there, and thus bingo halls are closing down through lack of trade too.

Now im no bingo fan, nor do i smoke, but just like bars and pubs, these places bring folk together, they CREATE community spirit. Old folk especially who play bingo dont have many social outlets, one lady said earlier on the news “i used to come 4 times a week, now i only come once”.

FOR CHRISTS SAKE, YOU BELIEVE THIS FRIGGING GOVERNMENT, DO YOU? THEY CONTROL, CONTROL, CONTROL, THEY STIFLE COMMUNITY SPIRIT. THESE OLD LADY’S FAUGHT FOR US IN ATLEAST ONE WAR, AND JUST LOOK HOW THEIR BEING TREATED, LIKE CRAP.

    WHY DONT YOU CARE, WHY????????????

    DO something!!!!!!!!!!!!

A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

The proposed ban of Patio or Space Heaters has nothing to do with them giving out too much heat but they are supposed to be producing extra and unwanted Carbon Dioxide (CO2) which is supposed to be contributing to the alledged global warming.
Smoking, apart from having a negative effect on the smokers health, also makes the smoker fart more and, as we all know, farts are mainly methane with the occasional follow through of some solid matter. Methane is another contributor to the alledged global warming. So I’d like to suggest you all do your bit towards the reduction of environmentally harmful gasses and stop farting.
Please, either bottle your farts or, even better, fart into a open flame such as a match, lighter or, if you are lucky enough to have one, a patio or space heater.

Wow – Way to keep up foreign relations people.

Now you’ve really hurt my feeling. I’m going to go and find a big pillow to cry my eyes out on. And just so you know, it really hurts when strangers who don’t have anything better to do attack you for no reason to make up for their own pathetic little lives.

    God Bless America

Let me know when you’ve found the big pillow, I’ll be more than happy to come and hold it down .

Now I know why the americans are such a messed up bunch of people. I always thought it was because of their leaders but no it’s their so called sense of humour.
May I suggest you get yourself a couple of pounds of humour next time you are in WalMart and stay away from the alcohol aisle where they keep the booze?

An excellent display of unseen perspective and one which will make a valuable contribution to the debate. Furthermore your minimalist style has enabled us all to ponder upon the precipitious necessity of applying, to some degree, an entry qualification for these hitherto esteemed boards.
While some may dispute the relevance of such action, others will not, and I feel that your words of wisdom may have done a great service in bolstering the imperatives of the latter.

And for that I thank you.

I think Brian Ferry wrote the lyrics.

Good song though, and Grace Jones’ version was excellent.

The song started as an Andy Mackay instrumental and the lyrics, written by Brian Ferry, were added later. It was recorded in the summer of 1975 and was available as a single and on the album SIREN.
Dave Gahan, lead vocalist of Depeche Mode, sung it as well as Grace Jones and Kylie Minogue.

And for Amy Winehouse, well, being a drug addict is something self-inflicted and not an illness so I don’t have any time for those bums.
