I hope so, but I have a feeling it will be brilliant in parts, and terribly crass and tacky in others.
We are excellent at so many things, but it could end up being like a kind of Its a Knock Out/Jeux Sans Frontier.

Not all of us in-breed, If you know what to look for you can tell. Most KC dogs are in-breed but if you get the chance to look at photos of the Dorset Olde Tyme Bulldogge you will notice the big variation in size , Height, wieght, etc that you won’t see in the kennel club bulldog. We make take longer in getting the final product but in the long term the health issues will be minimal.
I am glad to hear there are breeders around with integrity. I think the way some of the breeds look now is a travesty. Surely, if you could breed for health and intelligence and necessary traits such as being non-aggressive, that should take precedence over looks. To breed for both is an ideal.
I notice that working dogs seem to have less problems than those bred specifically for looks.
The Kennel Club should seriously re-evaluate its whole ethos.

But he’s innocent. He was deliberately framed.

Of course inbreeding causes genetic problems.. and of course all pedigree dogs are inbred. In the progamme it pointed out that it is common to mate siblings or father to daughter. Most pedigrees can trace their ancesters back to just a few dogs. They did say that the problem had become so severe now that infertility is becoming much more common. They are breeding the dogs out of existence! Nature will always find a way to reassert common sense.
