Brilliant line up. Can’t believe this time last year I was wading through mud, wish I had gone again this year. Was absobloodyfantastic last year though, Killers, Kaiser Chiefs, Kooks, Artic Monkeys, Amy, Shirles, Manics…..to name just a few *sighs wistfully at the memories*
Hmmm might see if I can get tickets next year, already been nattering to a couple of mates that want to go.
bloody hell, the grass is still green! well i hope the rain holds off for them all, it didn’t spoil the experience, but it did make it difficult to slopwaddle from stage to stage.
Just been looking at what is playing at what stage.. i’d be hopping from Pyramid to Other to John Peel to see all things people I’d want to see. OOo and the Blockheads are on with Phill Jupitus, now that would be worth a look.

27 June, 2008 at 6:01 pm #350914A child having a child.
The circumstances are hard to stomach. My feeling is that it is the family who are deciding what will happen to her, but that is fair enough as she is so young – too young to make decisions. But the psychological effects of what has happened to her will not be alleviated by an abortion. It will just be another kind of rape. And her child will be killed too, yet another thing she will have to deal with as she becomes an adult … and I have heard from people who have had abortion that they regret it as soon as they hold their first child in their arms.
My heart contracts at what she has suffered and will still suffer.

I don’t want us to have a fight,
But in the background I can hear you chatting sh it,
I hear it every night.
And you think you’re being really cool,
You’ve been doing it since we were both at school,
Now who looks like a fool. You’re no friend of mine girl
And I’ve known it for a while girl,
You’re just a waste of time girl
Why don’t you have another line girl.Tell me what did you expect?
Have you got no self respect?
Reputation to protect?
Soon you’ll be a nervous wreck.
[x2]What happened to the good old days?
I was kinda hoping this was all a stupid phase
Who are you anyway?
I know you’ve heard this all before
I know some people who are calling you a wh ore
Don’t know you anymore[Chorus]
You’re no friend of mine girl
And I’ve known it for a while girl,
You’re just a waste of time girl
Why don’t you have another line girl.Tell me what did you expect?
Have you got no self respect?
Reputation to protect?
Soon you’ll be a nervous wreck.

couldn’t find a good link, but the sound quality on this is okay26 June, 2008 at 7:17 pm #350578I never planned on meeting anyone when I first came to JC. And those I have met, well they haven’t been meetings in the ordinary sense in most cases.
Chess, I loved spending time with you, and one day I will actually make it to your neck of the woods and come visit. Maybe we can descend and pester the beatlemaniac.
LL, Chips, Did and Sue – you know, you don’t need me to say a word.
I met two unlikely lads in London, and ended up setting Camden on fire, and I got tipsy in Whitechapel where a kangaroo, and 50 Australians were playing Monopoly. We never did find the stain on the wall.
I don’t intend to increase the list (except possibly to walk wilma’s mountain). But strange things happen, and life is never cast in concrete. So who knows. One thing I do know, going by past experiences if I do ever meet any more of you, it is likely to prove interesting.
26 June, 2008 at 6:14 pm #350675The main way they are getting money is by identity theft, then getting credit cards and running huge debts up in people’s names. Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the world. You should be pretty safe though DOA, they’d have to be mad to want to be you.
