Arsenal are definitely one of England’s classiest clubs. They don’t get much classier. Liverpool and Man Utd I would say.

Good thread this, I like it.

Speaking of laughing stocks, are you really an OBE or is it just delusions of grandeur coupled with mental illness kicking in?

    You tell me?

Whilst you’re here and I have your attention,

Occasionally, very occasionally, the toilet will get heavily blocked because of TOO much bullshit so you have to manually shove your hand down there and physically unblock it.

Remember to wash your hands afterwards x

Just an idea, just a suggestion, maybe even a tip.

If you knew or learnt about the class and group systems within Horse Racing, (I’m assuming you don’t from your writings) how then that relates to favourites and betting,it might make you or help you see football betting differently. It can only benefit you.

    Please answer this, anybody.

How can an unraced debutant horse, with no form be a bookies favourite to win a race against experienced and proven winners?

    And?

    would you bet on it?

    Should it win?

your only as good as your last match, form is everything?

How much did you lose on Germany and Spain? B-)

Your obsession with “class” is bizarre along with your implication of location having a bearing on the likely success of a club.

Your ignorance of the Geo-Socio-Economic determinants on Sport, Sport Science, and Football is also bizarre and quite remarkable. I am surprised and disappointed that you can’t see the importance or relevance of Location on football. I am not going to patronise you. Google if you need more. There’s much study online, I can refer you to stuff if you want me to.

If you can’t see the importance and relevence of class and location in football, it’s not my job to teach you. With all respect, being a Wolves fan from Salford, it is understandable.

You seem hell bent on ripping my points to bits, rather than accepting class is equally as important as form in football. You’ve had your turn there. I haven’t touch yours, yet. You are ignoring my questions, I am answering all of yours, or trying to.

So let’s look at your point. Which is? class is nothing, your only as good as your last match, form is everything?

Well this question you conveniently ignored will counter your argument, which is probably why you ignored it.

Man City (or Utd) who are on a miserably poor run of form, are playing Swindon who are on a very good run of form, in the FA Cup Final on Saturday. Who are you putting your shillings on? Who are the bookies odds on favourites?
Class will win that match 9 out of 10 times, not form, and the Cup is going to Manchester. If Swindon get hammered 6-0 no-one will be too surprised.

Class and form go hand in hand. The more of both the better it gets.

If you think Fulham are bigger than clubs such as former English champions Leeds United, Sheff wed, Notts forest, football isn’t your area of expertise clearly.

Please don’t twist my words. (or I’ll twist yours). No I don’t think that for one moment. I also have stated Forest, Leeds, Villa, lets include SheffWeds too, are too Classy for their current division, and how Class will prevail.

If you can infer that I have suggested Fulham are bigger than those clubs, or even suggest that I can infer that from what I have written. it’s time to end this x

Relax sista, you wont be getting the counter claim until my barrister has read your evidence. You have no case for me to counter.

We can all be hypocrites and make unsubstantiated claims. the more we do it, and the more we get exposed for it, the bigger the nob we will look, crack on x

I don’t know what you are on about tbh.. the teams you mention win because they are richer/ bigger/ have better players

Class in this context, football, is determined by many factors. It is absolutely not determined by one or two factors alone.

Some of the obvious and significant factors will be the clubs history, size, stadium, location, successes, riches, financial clout, ownership, local class level, regional class level, national class level, continental class level, world class level, quality of players it can attract, and many many more factors. There’s a dozen factors. We could make a checklist and award points on each of the 12+ factors and award an overall class ranking. Of course its not quite that simple, but its a start as you say you don’t get it.

A form ranking would be done in a similar way, awarding pts for the last 5 matches or so. (Horse Racing). I speculate the teams (horses) with the overall higher rating will be the classiest, thus the “best” and more successful.

I’m sure the JC All Star 11 are a very classy act in the F3 Premier League 2018. I’m not sure of their World Class ranking though. Checklist.

If you regard that akin to the queen having class fair enough.

No I made no such comparison. Her Majesty would come out well in the above checklist points scoring with an impressive ranking. Better than mine. I’m only upper middle class :)

    Fulham are a small club

And quite a classy club too. Too classy for the Championship. They have some high scores in their class ranking, location in particular, which will come wealth. George Best and Bobby Moore have played for Fulham.

As for Villa, you have me on that one. But don’t be surprised if they bounce back as the bigger clubs tend to. They might get lucky with an Abramovich type. Newcastle have bounced back. Classy clubs can attract a decent manager to save them should they get into trouble with relegation, or need promotion.

Ajax for eg dominated European football in the early 70s with dutch clubs winning 4 consecutive European cups

    .

Well they didn’t have enough class to remain at the top. Their form dipped. After 50 years in the EuroClass doldrums, their class has dipped, especially in the European / continental class. Within the context of Dutch football, I can’t think of a classier outfit than Ajax, can you?

This class you talk of is transient going round in cycles with nothing permanent.

Not quite. Class is stable, it moves very slowly, like evolution. Maybe needs generations.

A heavyweight can only fight another heavyweight. In boxing we have the term, “Punching above your weight” (Class)

Form fluctuates. Dips up and down. Can change in the bat of an eyelid.

Your star defender / keeper and captain scores an own goal, in a second. Your form could crumble after that. Or take weeks to get back on track. If that were Barcelona, their class will remain until their form returns.

Did you watch the class of spain get beat by Russia earlier?

LoL How much did you lose on them? B-)

Russia’s temporary form is comparable to Spain’s permanent class at present.
