No, not tried grommits tbh – I had an op on my nose a couple of years ago and it worked great for about 6 months but then I got a cold and it returned with a vengance – then by the time you get a referral back to the ENT specialist it’ll be another 18 months………… :roll: …………so I resigned myself to having a cotton wool head, dizzy [but sober :wink: ] spells, sinus problems and a runny nose……. :roll:

My brother got hit on the head with a golf club when he was 14 – his mate was swinging the club to hit the ball while my brother was trying to get out of the way…………..

There was a knock on the front door and my sister answered it……the next thing we heard was her screaming – we ran to the door and my brother was standing there, hand on his head, with blood pouring down his face – it looked like something out of a horror film.

[he had 3 stitches and was in A&E for 1/2 hour……….wasn’t serious at all !].

I think the thing is, is that the blood makes it look like the injury is actually worse than it is…….especially if you get queezy at the site of blood !
