“That’s why she’s all but certain to agree to a referendum. That’s the way p9olitics works within our constitution.”

Well May has said in fairly clear terms that there will be no referendum until the end of the 2 year negotiation period. I’m not sure this is the right decision though, as I will weaken out position as the EU will no know if the S…[Read more]

The rules were different when they joined, and they had different deficits then, you might also notice than several of the member states are blocked from entering the Eurozone until they meet a certain level of budget deficit. Only the UK and Denmark have an opt-out from this system. Scotland wouldn’t havea currency, so they would want to…[Read more]

I’m not really sure how you class having no ammendments made to the bill after two seperate votes in parliment a defeat.

And Sturgeon doesn’t even have the power to call a referendum, it must be voted on in parliment. I remember that you didn’t like it when May tried to use royal prerogative, so why are you okay with Sturgeon trying to use power…[Read more]

The EU referendum was already on the Conservative party manifesto when the Scotish referendum started, and it was fairly clear that they would be winning the general election at the time. The Scotish people voted knowing they would have to accept the result of that if they stayed.

But you din’t address the point that I made about Scotland not…[Read more]

I’m using a different version of Firefox, on windows, my text it black again now, but I can’t use the ‘text’ mode still.

    I can also quote.

    Edit:
The text is still white when I am editing it.

It says my browser window is larger than my screen size, which is interesting.

I haven’t tried that, but I don’t see any reason why the problem would persist.

Not to mention that Scotland wouldn’t have a currency outside of the Eurozone, and nearly all of Scotlands trade is with England who doesn’t use the Euro anyway.

Scotland would also lose English tax funding though the Barnett formula, which would increase its budget deficit even further.
