My mate has got a packard bell easynote lappy, and someone has knackered it, as it the fact the sound device aint working and movies can’t be played on it. Says it aint compatible. Can anyone please tell me what is wrong with it so i can sort it out.
Your help will be most appreciated :D
However …………. on a more serious note. the lack of sound might be something relatively easy to fix like maybe a sound driver getting corrupted. It’s unlikely to be a hardware fault as the speakers are built in.
The key to unwrapping this movie issue is to know what Operating System is installed – is it Windows something or other or is it one of the geeky ones like Linux – or God forbid is it an Apple mac?
Lack of compatibility might indicate that it only has a CD drive and youn are trying to play a DVD. It might be that the DVD (if it is one) is say a US encoded one and your software will only accept European ones.
RIght it is not the movie as i have tried several, from all regions, and yes it is a dvd player, well it says it on the side of the lappy.
The dvd player is a “slimtype DVDRW SOSW-8525” standard CD-ROM drives, if that helps any Pb
:D
The drive is ST95212A (standard manufacture drives)
