Jimi Hendrix (27), Janis Joplin (27), Elvis Presley (42), and Kurt Cobain (drug-related suicide at 27).
So we continue to allow pushers to control the drug supply, rather than allowing the government to provide it to existing addicts for free?
Talk sense ffs!
i explained to him, on the other thread, owen, that all the people he mentioned were irresponsible. i like pete, he’s an intelligent bloke, but he seems to stick responsible, recreational users in with the idiots who abuse them (like the ones he mentioned)
i can’t see any harm in regulating the industry rather than handing it over to organized crime
I don’t consider Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin or Kurt Cobain as idiots who abuse drugs.
The jury’s still out regarding Elvis. :lol:All the people Pete mentioned weren’t pushing drugs to my children, burgling my house, breaking into my car or mugging my mother.
He talks out of his ass, and until he takes the blinkers off, he always will!

It’s better to appreciate the music without putting it into neat little boxes.
There are quite a few bands/singers I’d quite happily stuff into a neat little box!
And what’s happened to RnB?
I can remember when RnB was early Stones, 8)

2 June, 2006 at 2:14 am #222702You speak as though the existing policy on drugs is working, when it patently isn’t!
You criticise and condemn, but offer no solutions.
I cannot debate with you if you persist in your negative stance.
I’m beginning to think you’re a bit of a tosser! -
