Holding Italy was a achievement even, although they were outclassed.

The Italians never looked like scoring. And they didn’t. Possession football is great, but there has to be an end product or we might as well go home and watch Emmerdale.

I think you watched a different match to me. I’m sure Italy hit the post twice and they did put the ball in the net although it was offside, so it can be said, they did come close to scoring.

I want Germany to win. They deserve to win something.

I mean, they lost two World Wars.

Seems these days they just like to get their hands Greecy.

Apparently, Wayne Rooney didn’t have a favourite childhood toy. He just liked playing with his granny :P

No, it’s just Wayne Rooney’s dodgy hair piece. Still, it’s got more pace and skill.

Try playing with a grandstand and 4 floodlights, it was impossible

And the roar of the crowd.

One match we played was invaded by a hamster! A giant hamster! He dwarfed the players!

I think subbuteo was my favourite if thats classed as a toy.I remember some very tight games with one of my older brothers, usually ending in 0-0.

Once though in the 89th minute i beat his offside trap and stormed through on the keeper only to be brought down in the penalty area. After 5 mins of tension and arguing about the keeper moving i prepared for the penalty, then flicked the damn ball over the bar.

    Hehehe at “stormed through.”

I loved subuetto but we had to play it on the floor. In one match, we managed to stand on and break two goalies. We had to get the super glue out and restart the match after they “bonded!” :D

Haven’t you done this thread or similar before, Tel bwai or am I experiencing de ja vous?

    I think I replied at the time: “I like lolling about…” :D

Not a fan of the royals in anyway but I think it took courage to shake this bloke’s hand considering the IRA murdered Lord Mountbatten and his young son.

Not sure I could be so forgiving but then again she has no choice.

I wonder what Queenie and Philip really think and what they’re saying in private?

However, it is time to move on for the sake of peace.

    What about floats?

I can’t swim. Hate water except for showers.

    Are you branching out?
