Or passports if you have dual nationality.
United Kingdom.
I’m still not British. Being British takes away your identity.
Your identity is you not what country you come from
Depends what Terry means by identity. In this context, I don’t think he’s talking about his name.
Most people assume a different name on here and I am sure you are not called panda in real life – what I referred to was the person behind the name. Every person has an identity whatever their name
I think Terry was talking about his racial / cultural identity, not his given birth name.

Perhaps you should go more granular and get it down to the town or county you were born in?

Ha! Well I would love to be able to write like coathanger Panda… but no sadly its not me :(
Truthfully panda I think coat is male… not just because of his stories here but for other reasons…. I respect his (or maybe her) anonymity though….. I must say I find it puzzling you dragged this thread up again Panda if as you say you find it offensive….. maybe you should let it lie now :?
Firstly, I can “drag” up any thread I like. Secondly, I did not say I found it “offensive.”
Thirdly, you seemed willing enough to jump straight back in and contribute once I had “dragged” it up again. As to Coathanger’s identity and gender, well I think you doth protest too much! :P

well panda…. I have only read them once and haven’t over analysed them… maybe as words said earlier its just the writers craft in the best Carry On type tradition
One major difference, Carry On films, although plentiful like Coathanger’s stories, continued to be amusing to a degree.
Well whatever it may be Mrs Teapot, Joker’s done something to pull the strings of Coathanger once again and to get her crawling out of her closet. :P
16 April, 2012 at 4:41 pm #491403A few of coathanger’s posts on this thread spit venom like only a woman scorned could. She’s not as witty, smug and as calmly composed as she has been on other threads. She seems rather rattled and angry.
In addition to the gender of the bent wire one, would a man be so obsessed with Joker and his crotch? Maybe for one story to protect a female friend but not for half a dozen or so.
Just IMHO.

What I find quite disturbing about Coathangers stories regarding Joker, is her fixation on his nether regions and their functions or non functions.
The mind boggles.
Well I do think it’s true that whatever you say about someone says at least as much about you as it does about them. Scary for all of us, eh?

You’re forgetting one thing though, I haven’t written numerous stories on here about Joker’s crotch, merely read them. I am not the creative artist behind this “wonderful” satire, I am an observer.
“Every portrait that is painted with feeling is a portrait of the artist, not of the sitter. The sitter is merely the accident, the occasion. It is not he who is revealed by the painter; it is rather the painter who, on the coloured canvas, reveals himself.”
Basil Hallward, The Picture of Dorian Gray, Oscar Wilde. -
