Well I’m 37 and am at that stage where I am no longer the youngest or one of the younger workers.
I’ve just started a job where the other 3 in my team are all younger by 10 – 15 years. They have also been there longer but only by a matter of a few months as it’s all a new setup.
It’s me that feels “bullied” to an extent – as the newbie I’m finding my ideas, built from 18 years in the workplace are being dismissed without even being listened to!
Ideas that have been tried and tested before and which would probably enable more efficient and smooth processes.
A couple of them have even written me off for being too old!
Youth may bring with it a fresh pair of eyes, and questioning of the “old ways” etc but there is no substitute for experience and no excuse for obnoxious arrogance by younger employees towards their older colleagues.

Typical Panda response .. kick a person when she is down [-X
Down? As in “down” like your “bloomers” when a certain bloke is around?

hopefully whatever regime takes over will want to continue exporting quickly…. but who knows all the implications… bit scary really :? :? :?
Teapot
I get the feeling this was out of concern for the Libyan public If the exports stop then the Libyan public will suffer even more than they already are.
Er… yeah, course it was. More like it was concern out of what happens to the oil poor West if the exports stop.

26 February, 2011 at 12:31 pm #461344Perhaps the West should just find an alternative to oil and leave the Arabs to get on with it.
Teapot it seems, is only expressing concern about oil not the Arab people – that’s human compassion for ya!

:roll:Sorry to disappoint but the only person who drives me away from here is myself and having other things to do in life.

:roll:Don’t be so silly Bully Boy ….. try looking in the serious discussion thread, she is alive and kicking there .
Yeh, kicking me . . . . Well trying to
LOL
You invite a good kicking, Gaz, verbally, of course. :P
15 February, 2011 at 8:36 pm #460747So there is an anomaly as to whether this bomber was sitting or standing!
That really smacks of conspiracy doesn’t it?
Tell me, are there inconsistencies as to the identity of the bombers?
For instance, those that survived the bus bomb identified Hasib Mir Hussain as the bomber and those on the trains recognised the other respective bombers from pictures.
So are you saying the bombings were carried out by people other than the four identified?
If so, where are those four now? Are they dead, blown to bits by their own bombs and missed by their loved ones or are they walking around somewhere quite happy to be accused of the 7/7 bombings with their families happy to endorse this?
If you believe they were the bombers, and are now dead then the 7/7 bombings were carried out by Islamic extremists. Their trail leads back to bomb factories in Leeds, bomb training in Pakistan. End of.
I love this country, my country. . . I will work endlessly with the means at my disposal to bring about it’s return to the once civil and decent country it was.
And when exactly was this “golden age” when this country was civil and decent?
When Richard I was busy slaughtering Muslims in the Holy Land during The Crusades?
When it was raping and pillaging other countries to build up its Empire?
When it was burning heretics?
When it indulged in slavery?
The irony is, this country is far more civil and decent in this century than it ever has been.
PS – your work endlessly comment is priceless – working endlessly from the comfort of your own armchair!
15 February, 2011 at 1:55 am #460745I need not produce anything,
That’s because you can’t. You cannot produce any evidence whatsoever that the 7/7 bombings were not the work of four Islamic extremists:
Mohammad Sidique Khan
Shehzad Tanweer
Germaine Lindsay
Hasib Mir HussainYour dislike and criticism for everything British clouds and impairs your judgement even in the face of overwhelming evidence and eye witness statements.
Tell me Gaz – could you confidently and 100% look this survivor in the eye and tell him he’s a liar:
