What would you ask him, tinks?

Terry, why don’t you join UKIP and stand for Parliament or your local council?

MP’s today voted against the cull by 147 to 28 votes. Instead they want to see vaccination.

    :P

Retired people should be encouraged to do community work such as caring for the “very old” or face losing some of their pension, a peer has suggested.

Lord Bichard, a former benefits chief, said “imaginative” ideas were needed to meet the cost of an ageing society.

Funny, I thought that working all my adult life and paying national insurance and tax was working for my pension…guess I was wrong…

Maybe lord pilchard might find it easier if all pensioners were put in labour camps,.

Yeah, not doubt he will want them wearing suits with a giant OAP printed on them and sandwich boards stating, “scrounger.”

is there enough time to debate this in the house of commons to actually stop it going ahead this year if they vote against culling?……….the bbc link says the cull was due to start ‘in a few days’…..that article was online on the 14th?

It hasn’t started yet. There will be the vote this Thursday and it may be halted due to rising costs:

I got an automated reply from my MP – wonder if she’ll reply in person? :-k

I did get a reply through the post and on House of Commons letterhead! With a personalised salutation as well!

Ok, so the signature was photocopied…

Anyhow, she is against the cull and will be attending the vote today.

Im so fed up about this story now.. its lead story on the news this morning… even though two soldiers were ambushed and killed in Afghanistan…. and little April Jones seems to have been forgotten. Also remember the family killed in France? such a weird story.. it now seems the cyclist who was thought to have stumbled across the killing and was also killed may have been the main target… and guess what he was a nuclear scientist…..

I cant help thinking all these stories are more newsworthy than a dead guy who cannot be brought to justice…. Im not saying don’t investigate but truly is it really so newsworthy that it warrants being lead story day after day after day?

I agree with what you are saying but the media seems to dictate our lives.

They say what is “news,” not us.

We are just slaves to the rhythm.
