Channel 4 have today confirmed that all housemates were evacuated from the house on Sunday morning at 2:40am, following a bomb threat made by a man who phoned the Big Brother studios at Elstree, Hertfordshire.
As expected, the live E4 feed was cut and Big Brother asked all housemates to make their way to the emergency exit in the house, where they were met by producers who led them to a safe location off-site.
A spokesperson for Big Brother said: “After the necessary checks were made, housemates returned to the house without incident and streaming was resumed.”
Hertfordshire Police were called and examined the site, and declared it safe for the contestants to return.
