A lot it seems. I was watching a programme called whistle blower the other week. It featured familes on holiday abroad and the child care provided by hotels. They had something on offer in the evenings which i think was called a listening service, whereby a member of staff patrols the premises with a torch and walks by your apartment and …well listens :? while you wander off and enjoy yourselves elsewhere. Not very reassuring at all, in fact i was rather appalled that such a service was on offer. Had me thinking though…there must be quite a demand for it, otherwise such a service wouldnt exist. So you see, its not unusual it seems for people to go away on holiday and leave their children alone. Im not saying its right, and i certainly wouldnt do it, but it seems that it happens a lot more than people first thought.
