Two year public sector pay freeze on staff earning more than £21,000.

• People earning less than £21,000 will will each receive a flat pay rise worth £250 in each of the two years. WOW not £500 in 2 yr why thats gonna mean after 2 year they’re £9.62 a week better off :roll:

• Operational allowance for troops in Afghanistan doubled to £4,800. Makes dying worthwhile eh

• Will Hutton to draw up plans for fairer pay across the public sector, without increasing the overall pay bill, so that those at the top of organisations are paid no more than 20 times the salaries of those at the bottom. Only 20 times… the poor dears

• An independent commission chaired by John Hutton will review public sector pensions. There will also be consultation on scrapping default retirement age. That’ll save paying out pensions

• Rise in the state pension age to 66 will be accelerated. see above

VAT to increase to 20% on 4 January next year. Will generate over £13bn a year of extra revenues. that’ll bother the rich

They can blame the state the labour government left us in (so they say) and come the next election will have raised enough money to stick in a couple of tax reducing budgets and get re-elected. VAT is supposed to be on so called luxury goods, things the poor can’t afford in the first place.

Because love is an adult relationship, I cannot even vaguely remember considering anything to do with sex when i was in infants school. Where there as many underage pregnancies “back then” ? If not why not ? If not then let’s get back to then, an age where sex didn’t sell Cadbury’s flake or Cadbury caramel, where we knew what to do with shower gel without showing someone’s arse and half a breast.
