Its so rare, that idiot brown sold tons of it at rock bottom prices when he was chancellor…. its value is what the fools who wrap it round their necks put on it…people not unlike yourself

It is so rare that all the gold ever mined would fit into a 25m cube, it’s value is in it’s rarity, platinum is worth more…. wanna guess why…. cause it’s rarer.

The use of gold goes back to the Stone Ages, the main attraction being that it could be found in nuggets lying on the river bed, it shines even before it is polished and that it’s soft enough to work without needing heat. It isn’t hard enough to make tools out of, so our ancestors used it to adorn themselves with. This use of gold transversed cultures and continents.

Ergo, our attraction to gold is possibly a primitive instinct that we’re born with…not convinced? Just watch a baby mesmerised by the necklace on its mother’s neck or the ring on her finger, the baby doesn’t know the value of the metal but the attraction is there.

Ok, we have a half baked response, hmmm babies, yeh they are also attracted to colourful shiney things too and cuddly teddy bears…Primitive instinct…absolute bunkum……the fools that swamp themselves with this metal do so in a bizarre attempt to support their warped ego…
I am more interested in the chemical structure of this metal…. when the discovery was made at mount Horeb, also discovered were large deposits of a white powder, this powder is believed to be the remains of the metal gold having gone through the process of arcing…. aA method needing temperatures equivilant to that of the sun….
Your reply does not answer my initial question, Lead is also as malleable…

Obviously still to early in the day….

and lead is shiny is it ? oh and the chemical structure ? It’s an element ffs
