My dog is also 9, injuries to tend to linger on a bit as they get older. I cant walk her on the lead anymore because she pulls so much she forgets that by doing so she wont be able to walk in the evening. They are so stupid at times. And she’s the same as yours, sometimes both legs are bad, so she kinda hops between the two and uses all her weight on her front ones.
At least the weathers a bit warmer you wont have to worry about the cold getting in and causing more discomfort. Warmth and tlc and fingers crossed she will pull through with no lasting damage.
Cheers shazz…just been on the Shih-tzu forum..Gawd frieghtning the life out of me.. saying it could be disc problem!! She dosent seem in pain now, just seems to be catching up her kipp! Will keep a serious eye on her between now and later..shes soooo spoilt, my Mum came around earlier, and shes is proper playing at look at me im Ill sort of thing…Thanks for the advise..x

Lol! Pebbs..I was nursing my little dog last night..she`s done something to her back leg..after a scrape with another dog . :roll: they never got to each other because they were on the lead.Shes walking on 3 legs ,and she was in pain last night, kept whimpering, Shes fast asleep on my bed at the moment, so will see how she is today. might be a trip to the vets if she`s still not right (More money)!! I even missed BB, so will have to catch up today. :(
My dog did something to her hind leg yonks ago, tons of xrays and money later (thank fook for insurance) they never found any real damage, but even now it still hurts her when she over does things.

Horrible isnt it Shazz, Mollie`s 9 now (thats the dog)
and she has pulled musles in her legs before, so normally I dont worry too much…But now today, all shes done is been out for a wee, and it seems to be both back legs…shes walking like she drunk, hard to explain, but her back legs seem like jelly. She never slept that much last night, so im just leaving her today, she`s not moaning when I touch any part
of her.. but im starting too think its maybe her back, shes twisted or something. If shes still the same tomorrow, will have to take her too the vet.@~Pebbles~ wrote:

My little pooch has twisted her leg….going bersek at another dog! Jeeeez I thought the other dog, had ripped her apart!! (The screams) :shock: she`s such a baby… (Bless)
