I remember a few years ago a pal of mine felt really ill.she asked me over as she should not cope. she lived 3rd floor on a block of 4 new tenement housing association flat..
the doctor came and I went to the door and invited the doctor in..with a wave of after “you maam” .. she freaked and made ME walk in front of her. which i duly did,I introduced her to her patient,then assumed they would need privacy for a consultation. so ;left the room..

She demanded i came back and Sat with her ! my pal was taken into hospital with a serious menigoccal complaint..The ambulance boys came and they explained that particular G.P is notorious for mistrust.
Yes i KNOW things are bad ! and everyone is viewed with suspicion..This GP couldnt look at me ,for assuming i was a bad’un. no apology..nothing ! Even as i frantically explained to the paramedics the docs prognosis was wrong ! and it was..so the moral of the story IS… trust paramedics before a g.p with a “target” to score. They are better trained !
