i remember that cinema, mostly showed Bollywood type films, but they showed the Shining. ans we used to call Stamford Hill, Stamford Brae ( the scottish equivalent ) to wind Reg up. I met a fella from online a few years back, and i had an overwhelming feeling of Deja Vu about him. Turns out we had met before ! en route to Nina Hagen and the slits gig at the lyceum. was a very brief encounter, but we both remembered it well. Tis a Sma world out there ..

no you never met Reg cosy.. it was during the time I did a runner with jack wylde, as i fell in love with his ‘artful dodger role. he left me penniless in the slums of the east ‘end. Reg took me in, while I was begging in Dalston high street. you had professed love for Bonnie langford, so i did it to teach you a lesson !

Junior Showtime was never the same again after we erm ” left ” .. the stories in the News Of the world were untrue,, but as they say in showbiz, “no publicity is bad publicity”..

I am now going out with Aled jones. us child proteges Must stick together !

god cosy as if i could forget those days we hoofed the boards..me throwing a hissy fit in blonde pigtails and you in your little purple velvet pantaloons..selling the discarded programmes after the show to make enough for a sherbet dib dab and a tin o evo stick !

reg was a bit older than I, had the patience of a saint and was one of the Wapping warriors.I lived in his house on the queensbridge road and one day he was watching cricket, i was glazing over … he asked if i ” liked cricket” and i explained I didnt know the rules, he then took about half an hour (at least) telling me the rules.. he asked a question later on in the match and i had to confess i had not taken in his explanation.. Most people would have shook ther heads and laughed. NOT reg,, he took a breath then proceeded to tell me the fvcking rules all over again !! Im sure rain stopped play and i buggered off to the local pub ( harlequins ) .

I often wonder what became of reg :)

Ruby, I think you probably frequented the Hackney Labour Club and teh Hope and Anchor in Islington’s Upper Street at the same time as me. Bet the Anti-Nazi League did it for you.

You have to keep your eye open for these people. They also pose quite a threat to isolated asians and blacks. But I don’t see them as warranting the attention of health and education cuts, etc

many memories of both the Hackney Labour club AND the hope n anchor Scep :) graffitied the toilet walls in HLC with poetry many a time :) heck even paul whitehouse and harry Enfield used to be there. Not in the bogs with me at same time,, that was a rumour  yeah many a march up to Stoke Newington with the clubbie. I still go up Islington way when ever I get down to london. I beleive its all bistros nowadays?

ignore them ???? never ! Let them know they are being watched and enjoy revelling in their face book pages at the paltry excuses from keyboard warriors..all these threats and warnings.. now they are claiming there will be millions here next year. watch this space. ! must have been a pandemic of the Flu in darkest Fife on Friday night.. all the main stays and most threatening came down with it… wee shame :)
