A very dear freind of mine died at the age of 47, due to his use and miss-use of drugs over the years. He knew better than to expect sympathy from me. Talk to him yes, discuss it yes, which we did, on numerous occasions. Yes also, I felt sorry for his children when he died, he was still their dad after all.

He was a lovely man, he had a serious problem he couldnt deal with, it ultimately killed him.

This was a thread expressing acknowledgement of sudden death of a 33year old musican who incidently died of natural causes NOT misuse of any substance if the news is right.

Even if he was sloshed & choked on his own vomit, how many of you have had your head down the big white telephone after a night on the pop?
Makes you realise how easy life can be taken by doing something that a lot do every weekend.

Nowhere did I say it was tragic though I’m glad my compassion goes beyond judging a person.
